The Lead Administrator for Storage Area Networks (SAN) is a lead role and will serve as a senior-level IT specialist for clients with geographically distributed IT infrastructure team supporting mission-critical operations for the company.
Detailed Job Order:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Work on multiple storage arrays, SAN/NAS/backup architecture & configuration, storage element creation and presentation, storage-related security, storage network configuration, array-based data replication, enterprise storage management, backup architecture & practices in developing / implementing world-class storage solution.
b. Assess existing architecture; identify issues, risks, and opportunities relating to current plan, recommending improvements as identified.
c. Supervise the team for implementation, test & maintain storage & backup solutions.
d. Implement and support Storage Virtualization.
e. Represent all areas of storage-related efforts to management, at all review boards.
f. Perform DR/Business continuity testing and implementation.
Skills Set/Environment:
(i) Storage Devices: EMC Clariion, EMC VNX, EMC VNX Vblock, EMC VMAX, , IBM DS series, IBM XIV, IBM SVC, IBM N-series, NetApp FAS series.
(ii) Replication, backup and Disaster Recovery: EMC Recoverpoint, EMC Avamar, EMC Data Domain, TSM, Snapmirror, Snapshots, SnapVault, MetroMirror, Global Mirror, Flash Copy, Mirrorview, SAN Copy, SRDF S/A
(iii) Protocols: SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, LAN, VLAN, FCOE, FCIP.
(iv) Switches and Fabric: Cisco switches, Brocade/McData switches.
(v) Software/Tools & other: EMC Symmetrix Management Console (SMC), EMC Control Center (ECC), EMC PowerPath, IBM SVC GUI, NetApp Operations Manager, OnCommand, EMC Connectrix Manager, Brocade Webtools, Elements Manager, DFM, Cisco Fabric Manager, SYMCLI, Qlogic, Emulex HBAs
(vi) Host/Server environment: Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, RHEL, AIX, Solaris, VMWare ESX / ESXi environment.
Must be willing to relocate/travel to client sites across USA.
