Level II Software Support Specialist

Our customer is a leading provider of software solutions to international financial institutions and is listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. They service over 100 major blue-chip customers, many of whom have been customers for over thirty years, they are looking for a Level II Support Specialist to join their team in Denver.
Software Support Specialist Skills:
Knowledge of databases (Oracle 11g / MS SQL)
Practical experience writing SQL queries
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix
Knowledge of Java debug - don't need to be able to write Java code. Experience reading a Java error and making some sense of it.
Ability to determine the source of an error, which could be the user, configuration of the application, software code failures, environmental conditions (IP address mis-configuration, firewalls, etc).
Must have a track record of professionalism in all communications
Financial Services industry experience is preferred
This position could provide a career path that would lead to professional services and or PS development work.
Candidates local to Denver, CO preferred. Only candidates authorized to work permanently in the US will be considered. No third parties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
